We had one of the modern rooms on the ground floor, to the back of the building. It was well designed to give as much as possible to guests in a compact space. The bathroom and wardrobe area was especially genius using sliding units and foldable doors. Bed was comfy - great black out curtains for a perfect nice sleep. The main area of the hotel was as expected from a period hotel. Very classy and nicely decorated. The bar area was exceptionally nice, good design features. Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. A varied buffet with unusual offerings in the cold buffet. Whilst slightly more expensive than average, it was exceptional. The staff were so friendly and polite. Great location near the town and Richmond Park.

A beautiful, old worldly hotel. The service was amazing and the breakfast was great. We were not able to get into our room, however, until two after the check in time. We sat in the bar and had a drink or two in a lovely bar. It was disappointing not to be able to freshen up in our room but the Office Manager gave us free breakfast, a late checkout and waived the fee for our room service. It was not ideal to be two hours late getting to our room but the hotel made every attempt to make this up for us and did this professionally and respectfully.

Location is fantastic next to the park and wonderful views of the river. lounge and breakfast area was really clean and modern. The hilltop room was extremely comfortable with the soft pillows and duvets. Everything was clean lovely selection of tea/coffee (jasmine tea aswell). Breakfast and dinner was fresh and delicious. The lamb was really a picture, fine dining! wireless charging point in the room, large tv A modern room and Elemis toiletries! This was really luxurious and we had a peaceful sleep.

All staff were exceptional, attentive and friendly throughout our visit, from welcoming us on arrival to dining in the restaurant. We had breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks in the restaurant, bar and terrace and all food and drinks were of a high standard. The location was fabulous and completely picturesque, like having the countryside in London. The park is a minute walk away and the station is fairly nearby.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like valued guests, the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and we were given an upgrade a spacious suite. The breakfast was first class with a great choice of everything you could with for. The location was perfect as we were attending a family wedding at Pembroke lodge in Richmond park a short distance away.
